Description : Body of Russell’s Sea Snake is elongated.Youngs are black with 35–55 bright yellow or whitish dorsal bars and head with curved yellow marking.On the contrary adults markings become indistinct whereas coloration shows almost uniform grayish above and yellowish below.Female larger than male. Russell's Sea Snakes are amphibious and can spend up to 10 days on land, where they lay their eggs. These snakes are highly venomous, but they are not aggressive towards humans and will only bite if they feel threatened or cornered. However, their venom can be very potent, and if bitten, it is important to seek medical attention immediately.
