Description : The male butterfly has dark blue uppersides with black markings on the forewings and a moderately broad black band on the hindwings. The undersides are whitish-grey with chocolate-brown markings, including spots and lines. The female has dark brownish-grey uppersides with similar markings to the male. The hindwing may have a paler area towards the outer margin. The undersides are the same as the male. Both genders have black antennae and head, with the body being blackish-brown above and grey beneath.
