Description : The Verditer Flycatcher is a long-tailed, greenish-blue passerine (length 15 cm, weight 19 g, wing 8.5 cm, bill 1.4 cm, tarsus 1.8 cm, tail 6.7 cm approximately). The male has totally greenishblue body with darker blue wings and tail and lighter forehead and throat. It has outstanding black lores. The female is duller and greyer than the male. The juvenile looks brown-grey from above, has orange-buff spots on the brown upper and lower body and buff tips to the coverts. It usually perches on bare branch and hunts mainly the winged insects by aerial sally. It breeds in April-August.
