Description : বৃষ্টি বটেরা ছোট বাদামি পাখি। ছেলে মেয়ে চেহারায় কিছুটা ভিন্নতা আছে। ছেলে পাখির মুখ কালচে, সাদা কালো নকশা করা মাথা। এরা ঘাসের বীজ, উদ্ভিদের বীজ, পোকামাকড়ের লার্ভা এবং ছোট অমেরুদণ্ডী প্রাণী খায়। এদের মার্চ থেকে অক্টোবর পর্যন্ত বংশবৃদ্ধি ঘটে তবে বর্ষা মৌসুমে বেশি ঘটে। ডিমগুলি, সাধারণত ছয় থেকে আটটি থাকে। মাটিতে গর্ত করে, কখনও কখনও ঝোপের নীচে ডিম পাড়ে। ইনকিউবেশন প্রায় ১৬ থেকে ১৮ দিন স্থায়ী হয়। ডিম ফুটে ছানারা বাসা ছেড়ে প্রায় আট মাস তাদের বাবা-মায়ের সাথে থাকতে পারে।
