Description : লালবুক মারগেঞ্জার পাখিটির মাথার উপরে তীক্ষ্ণ প্রান্তের ঝুঁটি বিদ্যমান। পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য ৫১-৬২ সেমি, ওজন ৮০০-১৩৫০ গ্রাম। পুরুষ পাখির মাথায় গাঢ় রঙের চকচকে সবুজাভাব লক্ষ্য করা যায়। পাখিটির গলা সাদা, পিঠ কালো, নিচের দিকের পালক সাদা রঙের। স্ত্রী পাখির দেহ ধূসর। এরা প্রধানত ছোট মাছ খায়, তবে জলজ পোকামাকড়, ব্যাঙ খেতে পারে।
