Description : The Common Hill Myna is a medium-sized black bird with a white wing patch and yellow wattles on the head (length 29 cm, weight 210 g, wing 17 cm, bill 3 cm, tarsus 3.5 cm, tail 8 cm). It looks entirely glossy jet-black when perched. It has yellow patches of naked skin and fleshy wattles on the sides of its head and nape. Its wing has a prominent white patch, conspicuous in flight. It has dark brown irises, orange bill with a yellow tip, and yellow legs and feet. The male and the female look alike. It feeds on fruits, berries, flower buds, nectar and insects. It breeds in April-July.
