Description : Grey‑tailed Tattler is a grey and white wader bird. It has stout straight bill and short yellow legs, grey wings lacking prominent wingbar. Adult breeding has barring breast. The grey-tailed tattler breeds in stony riverbeds nesting on the ground or occasionally perching in trees. They may also use old nests of other birds. During migration, they winter on muddy and sandy coasts. They are rarely found in large flocks, except at roosts. These birds primarily feed on the ground or in water, relying on sight to find and consume insects, crustaceans, and other invertebrates.
