Description : গিলি পুটি মাছের শরীর লম্বাটে আর এদের উপরের চোয়াল কিছুটা লম্বা হয়।এদের শরীর লালচে-বাদামী হয়।পুচ্ছ পাখনার গোড়ার সামনে একটি কালো চওড়া রেখা আর পিছনে অস্পষ্ট আরেকটি রেখা থাকে।পৃষ্ঠ পাখনার সামনের রশ্মির গোড়ায় বড় কালো চিহ্ন আছে।শ্রোণী আর পায়ু পাখনার গোড়া কালো বিন্দু দ্বারা ভরা থাকে।প্রজনন মৌসুমে,পৃষ্ঠ আর পুচ্ছ পাখনা সাথে শরীরের পিছনের অংশ লাল আর কমলা হয়ে যায়।
