Description : মেঠো রাতচরা গাঢ় বাদামি-ধূসর রঙের নিশাচর পাখি, যার গলায় কিছুটা সাদা ব্যান্ডের মত অংশ থাকে।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ২৪ সেমি. ওজন ৪৫ গ্রাম, ডানা প্রায় ১৫ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) পুরুষ পাখিটি দেখতে বালুর গাঢ় বাদামি-ধূসর রঙের আর ঠোঁট বাদামি–কাল রঙের হয়। এরা উড়ন্ত বিটল পোকা, মথ ও নানা ধরণের পতঙ্গ খায়। নিশাচর স্বভাবের কারণে এরা সন্ধ্যার পর রাতের দিকে সজাগ থাকে। এদের প্রজননকাল মার্চ- অগাস্ট।
