Description : এশীয় কোয়েল/কোকিল লাল চোখের, লম্বা লেজের পাখি।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ৪৩ সেমি. ওজন ১৭০ গ্রাম, ডানা প্রায় ২২ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) পুরুষ ও স্ত্রী পাখি দেখতে ভিন্ন, পুরুষ পাখি চকচকে কালো তবে নীলচে সবুজের অল্প আভা রয়েছে। স্ত্রী পাখির উপরের দিক বাদামি রঙের এবং সাদা স্পটযুক্ত। প্রজনন ঋতুতে স্ত্রী পাখি অন্য পাখির (যেমন কাক, শালিক, সাতারে) বাসায় ডিম পাড়ে। এদের প্রজনন কাল মার্চ-জুলাই।
