Description : কমলামাথা দামা একটি লক্ষনীয় কমলা মাথা,গলা,বুক এবং পেট যুক্ত চড়ুইজাতীয় পাখি।এরা লম্বায় প্রায় ২১সেমি,ওজনে ৬০ গ্রাম,পাখা ১২সেমি,ঠোট ২.৪ সেমি, টারসাস ৩সেমি,লেজ ৮সেমি।এর আকর্ষণীয় কমলা রঙ ছাড়া প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক পুরুষ পাখির নীলাভ-ধূসর পাখার বাইরের আবরনি,পাখা,ও লেজ রয়েছে।এর পাখার মাঝ বরাবর ও অগ্রভাগের পাখার ওপরে সাদা দাগ রয়েছে।এর কানের দুইপাশে আড়াআড়ি সংক্ষিপ্ত কালো দাগ রয়েছে।নিচের দিক থেকে এদের অস্বচ্ছ সাদা পায়ুঞ্চল ব্যতিত সম্পূর্ণ কমলা দেখায়।স্ত্রী পাখির পাখার আবরন ,পাখার গোড়া ও পাখার মাঝের অংশ জলপাই-বাদামি রঙয়ের ।এর চোখের পাতা গাঢ় বাদামি এবং ঠোঁট কালো।এর দুই বর্ণ বিশিষ্ট পা রয়েছেঃ বাদামিভাব সামনের অংশ,হলুদাভ পিছনের অংশ।এর কেঁচো এবং পচা পাতা উল্টে ও নরম মাটি খুঁড়ে পোকা বের করে খায়।এর প্রজনন ও গান গাওয়ার সময় ভিন্ন ভিন্ন স্থানে ভিন্ন ভিন্ন হয়ে থাকে।বাংলাদেশে এরা এপ্রিল-জুন মাসে প্রজনন করে ।
